From March 23nd to 24th, Consul General Huang Ping visited Hainan Airlines' office at Boston Logan Airport and CRRC Massachusetts Co. to visit the employees and learn more about the development of the Chinese companies in the United States. He also held seminars with their representatives including Liang Pubin, General Manager of Hainan Airlines in the United States, and Jia Bo, Chairman and General Manager of CRRC Massachusetts Co. and encouraged them to make positive contributions in expanding China-US cooperation.

According to Huang Ping, 2019 marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of new China as well as the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and the United States. In the past four decades, the stable and long-term development of bilateral relations between the two countries has brought tangible benefits to the people from the two nations. The win-win cooperation is the main spirit of China-US relations, and the numerous Chinese-funded enterprises operating in the United States like Hainan Airlines and CRRC are pioneers in expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between China and the United States. Growing stronger themselves, these Chinese-funded enterprises have also created more jobs and boosted local economic growth. Actively fulfilling their social responsibilities, these enterprises won recognition from all fields and injected "positive energy" into China-US relations.

Huang Ping pointed out that the Consulate General of China in New York is committed to deepening the mutually beneficial cooperation between China and the United States with the ten states in the region. We spare no effort to support Chinese enterprises in investing and doing business in the territorial areas, build platforms and provide services for enterprises to expand economic and trade cooperation with the United States, and protect their lawful rights and interests. We hope that the enterprises could strengthen their confidence, take a long-term view, tap its potential, actively expand its business, and seek long-term and sustainable development in the United States so that they could become "messengers" of promoting the development of economic and trade relations as well as exchanges in various fields between the two countries and contribute their efforts to the sound and stable development of bilateral relations.

Liang Pubin said that since it officially launched the first direct flight route between China and the United States in 2008, Hainan airlines has opened and successfully operated 13 routes between the two countries so far. The regional office of Hainan Airlines in the United States will not only work hard to operate the existing routes between China and the United States but also respond to the growing demand of China-US exchanges actively to open more direct flights between the two countries. They would also make efforts to enhance personnel exchanges and expand mutually beneficial cooperation between China and the United States.

Jia Bo indicated that since its establishment in 2014, CRRC Massachusetts Co. has been actively involved in the manufacturing and upgrading activities of urban rail transit vehicles in the United States, and has successfully signed rail transit projects in cities like Boston, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia. In December 2018, CRRC's first metro vehicles rolled off the line at its plant in Springfield factory, Massachusetts, which marks an important step taken by CRRC in localized production and operation in the United States. In the future, CRRC will respond to the needs of infrastructure upgrading in the United States, participate in local rail transit projects actively, and make greater contributions in further deepening economic and trade cooperation between China and the United States.
